적극적인 참여를 유도하려면 ‘1분이면 끝난다’는 다소 과장된 선전이 효과적이다. If you could just take 1 minute to fill out a brief survey, it would be extremely helpful to our team(이 간단한 설문조사에 1분만 참여해준다면 우리 팀에는 큰 도움이 될 거야)! If the person whose spouse just gave birth to their second child can find time to fill out the survey, you can too(집사람이 얼마 전 둘째 아이를 낳아서 정신이 없는 나도 시간을 내서 설문에 응했거든. 그럼 너는 무조건 할 수 있는 거 아냐)! find time to~는 ‘시간을 내서 ~하다’는 뜻으로 자주 쓰인다.
경쟁이 동반된 인센티브는 더 효과적이다. We’re very excited that we are able to award $300 gift certificate to the cluster with the greatest percentage of participation(우리는 300달러 상품권을 가장 설문 참여율이 높은 반에 수여할 수 있으니 아주 다행이야). 마감일이 되면 대부분 한 번은 날짜가 연장된다. To give every cluster a chance to rally for this goal, we are extending the competition by one day(모든 반이 이 목표를 위해 경쟁할 수 있도록 우리는 이 경연을 하루 더 연장하기로 했어).
