Cameron : Your birthday.
House : Oh, anger was a bad guess. Normally, I’d put on a festive hat and celebrate the fact the earth has circled the sun one more time.① I really didn’t think it was gonna make it this year.② But darn it if it wasn’t the little planet that could all over again.
Cameron : It’s birthday. It’s an excuse to be happy.③ You think that’s lame?④
House : Why are you here? To buy me a pony?

보통은 내가 축제용 고깔을 쓰고 지구가 태양 주위를 한 바퀴 더 돌았음을 축하해야겠지.
festive hat은 ‘(축제나 생일에 쓰는) 고깔’을 의미합니다. ‘I love a festive mood(저는 축제 분위기를 즐겨요)’처럼 사용하죠. The earth circles the sun은 ‘지구의 공전’을 뜻합니다.

이번 해에는 완전히 일주할 것 같진 않았는데 말이야.
make it은 관용적으로 ‘실행, 이행하다’라는 의미로, 이 상황에서는 문맥상 ‘지구의 공전’을 가리킵니다.
